Motorly ("we", "us", or "our") is Kerala's community-first automotive ecosystem. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use motorly.co.in or sign in with Google.

1. Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store the following from your Google account:

• Name — your Google display name
• Email address — to identify your account and contact you
• Profile picture — displayed in your account card on the site
• Google account ID — used internally to link your Google account to your Motorly account

We also collect information you provide directly: phone number, service area, and vehicle details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your Motorly account
• To personalise your experience on the platform — news, forum, events, and nearby garages
• To connect you with trusted garages near you
• To send event RSVP confirmations and reminders

3. What We Do Not Do

• We do not sell your personal information to third parties
• We do not share your data with advertisers — Motorly carries no third-party ads anywhere on the platform
• We do not use your Google data for any purpose other than operating your Motorly account

4. Google Sign-In

We use Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. When you click "Continue with Google", you are redirected to Google's consent screen. We only request your basic profile (name, email, profile picture). We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google service.

You can revoke Motorly's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secured servers hosted in India. We use HTTPS (TLS encryption) for all data in transit. Access to your data is restricted to authorised Motorly team members only.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
• Withdrawal of consent — revoke Google access via your Google Account settings

8. Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you logged in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used. Google Fonts are loaded from Google's CDN but do not track users.

9. Children's Privacy

Motorly is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
